Janice hails from St. John’s, and has a PhD in English from Memorial University of Newfoundland. She was a professor of English literature at Grove City College in northwestern Pennsylvania for 21 years, retiring in the summer of 2015. She has also taught seminary courses at Trinity School for Ministry in Pittsburgh. Earlier, she served with Wycliffe Bible Translators, teaching high school in Papua New Guinea for several years. She is the author of The Seven Deadly Sins in the Work of Dorothy L. Sayers, and The Lion in the Waste Land: Fearsome Redemption in the Work of C. S. Lewis, Dorothy L. Sayers, and T.S. Eliot.


Janice is an active member of Grace Anglican Church, in Grove City, Pennsylvania. She has permanent residency in the US, but maintains close ties with Newfoundland, where she and her husband are seasonal residents.
