Grant is a graduate of McGill University and Montreal Diocesan Theological College. After serving in parishes in the Diocese of Montreal, he and his family moved to Kenya where he taught at St Paul’s United Theological College. Returning to Canada, Grant did his Th.D. in New Testament at Wycliffe College. After graduation, he taught Bible at Trinity School for Ministry in Pennsylvania for 14 years. 


From 2012 – 2018, Grant was the Area Bishop for The Horn of Africa within the Anglican / Episcopal Diocese of Egypt. He had episcopal oversight of 150 churches in Eritrea, Djibouti, Somalia and Ethiopia. Since returning to North America, he once again taught at TSM, concurrently serving as the Temporary Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of the Great Lakes until 2021.



Grant has written and edited numerous articles and books. He and his wife Wendy, who is a medical doctor, have two grown children and one grandchild.
